Liveaboard diving in Thailand
For the most convenient scuba diving around Phuket, Similan Islands and Burma (Mergui), liveaboards are the way to go. Fairly large boats (25-33 meters) with living arrangements so that divers may travel and enjoy more than one diving destination, liveaboard excursions are the best in Thailand diving.
With thirteen liveaboard boats in all, All4Diving offers the best liveaboard diving Thailand has to offer. In fact, we have strived to meet the needs of all our passengers, no matter what their price range. With four very distinct categories, each passenger is sure to find what they are looking for.
The first category in the liveaboard Thailand group is the least expensive of the excursions. In all, there are four ships: the MV Daranee, MV Parinee, MV Vilai Samut, and MV Dolphin Queen. Although these may not be expensive accommodations, do not misunderstand that to mean they are substandard. In fact, these boats offer many of the amenities of their larger counterparts, but have smaller living quarters that are often shared between divers, instead of having private rooms.
The second liveaboard diving category has three ships and is sure to meet all your expectations of an ocean escape. The MV Sai Mai, MV West Coast Explorer, and MV Jonathan Cruiser have private rooms, full accommodations, refreshments, and meals. In fact, the MV Sai Mai even has a recreational deck to lounge around on during down time.
The third category also has four liveaboards, the MV Mermaid II, the MV Colona VI, MV Jazz and the MV Le Mahe. However, these ships have been designed to offer a higher level of comfort and luxury. Accommodations on these ships include saloons, in-room mini bars, private toiletry facilities, and breathtaking views.
The fourth category features two liveaboards that are truly leaps and bounds above anything else on the water. Mermaid I and Philkade are practically cruise ships in smaller proportions. Living quarters on these magnificent boats come standard with recreational equipment, such as a television and VCR, a huge amount of space, and personal toiletry facilities. They also feature bar/restaurants and party decks. If you are looking for the ultimate in comfort on a liveaboard diving ship, you have found it with the Mermaid I and the Philkade.
Each of these liveaboards makes three to nine trips per month. Therefore, it is fairly easy to book exactly what you want if you book ahead of time with All4Diving. There is no better way to experience the Similans or Burma than with All4Diving!
