While on holiday to paradise, it would be a shame not to take full advantage of all the region has to offer. As beautiful as the Andaman sea is from the beach, it is far more enticing under the water. If you plan to spend much time on the islands, Thailand scuba diving courses are a must to complete your retreat. While you will want to learn everything you can, you must first start with the basics. All4Diving offers three beginner diving courses:

PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

This course is designed to introduce a novice to the exciting realm of the ocean. Under the direct supervision of an expert instructor, you will be introduced and guided though the wonders of scuba diving. This particular training course takes place on Racha Yai Island and includes two dives. Although you are carefully supervised throughout this training course, you will feel liberated as you experience, for the first time, the wonders of this underwater paradise. You will see amazing animals and plant life in vivid shades only imagined - an incredibly unique and unforgettable experience. Once you get a taste of this world, you will find it difficult to turn away as you are drawn it to visit again and again.

PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE

The next step in scuba certification is that of PADI Scuba Diver. This basic scuba course carries a certification depth of 12 meters and requires supervision of a Divemaster or PADI Instructor. After two days of training, you will able to receive this certification and proceed to the next level which will allow full diving without supervision. At this point, you have become comfortable with the water and maneuvering through it. You are also more than likely becoming very intrigued with the thought of traveling to the depths of the ocean. Luckily, with the next level of training, that will be a true possibility.

Beginning with two days of instruction at our exclusive training center in Patong Beach, this certification allows you to dive freely without the restrictions of the lower levels. During this time, you will receive top-notch training on all the intricacies of diving. After the initial pool training, two more days are spent at Racha Yai Island to receive open water training and complete the certification process. The PADI Open Water Diver Certification opens the door to scuba diving Asia or anywhere else in the world. With this under your belt, you will be able to enjoy scuba diving with few restrictions.

PADI ADVENTURE DIVER & ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

The Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certification training allows you to mix and match diving criteria to create the perfect training package for you. The Advanced Open Water course diving is available at Phi Phi, Shark Point, King Cruiser, Koh Doc Mai, Similan Islands and Racha Yai. These areas of training provide the skills needed to maneuver dives with less than pristine conditions. This advanced knowledge will prove to be very useful in your diving experiences.

The Adventure Diver course and specialty areas include any of the following: AWARE Fish Identification Dive, Boat Dive, Deep Dive, Diver Propulsion Vehicle Dive (DPV), Drift Dive, Multi Level and Computer Dive, Wreck Dive, Night Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, Search and Recovery Dive, Underwater Naturalist Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Underwater Photography Dive, Underwater Videography Dive.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

Primary Care (CPR)

This certification course is split into two categories: primary and secondary care. Primary care includes life threatening emergencies, such as CPR, management for serious bleeding, and spinal injury management, just to name a few. Secondary care is considered treatment that is for cases that are not life threatening. This includes bandaging and injury assessment.

Considering the possible dangers associated with diving, this type of training may prove to be vital at some point. It may also be necessary/required, depending on your training.

Secondary Care (First Aid)

This course covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening or when local EMS is unavailable or delayed. Participants focus on secondary assessments and the appropriate first aid through knowledge development, skills development and realistic scenario practice.

• Bandaging
• Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures

RESCUE DIVER COURSE

The next logical step in your diving experience, expand your knowledge and skills and be prepared to assist your fellow divers. This course will not only help you plan for the worst case scenarios, but will also help to develop your confidence and ability to prevent them from happening.

The course runs over a three day period, with the first two days of knowledge and skill development in the classroom and pool. On the final day a full rescue scenario will be simulated allowing you to put your newly learnt skills to the test. Like the Emergency First Response certification, this may prove to be imperative at some point.

PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE

The PADI Divemaster program is the first step on the professional career ladder as a Dive Professional. The Divemaster program will develop your diving skills, knowledge and leadership to be on par with an Instructor. As a PADI Divemaster you will be able to lead dives and assist Instructors, opening the doors of opportunity for employment world wide.

The PADI Divemaster programme is scheduled to run over a longer period, even longer should you need to log more dives, before your certification. During this period your diving skills will be fine-tuned to perfection, your rescue skills will be second nature, and your diving knowledge 1st rate.
